Series: Why These Books?
Were there other books that were considered for inclusion in the Christian canon of Scripture? What about other apocryphal and Gnostic writings? Did the Roman emperor Constantine and later Catholic authorities impose the canon on the church, or was there already a consensus regarding these books long before Constantine?
This seminar addresses these questions and more and helps us understand the origins and authenticity of the New Testament canon.
